I am an aspiring novelist and Midwest escapee living in Asheville, North Carolina. In my spare time, I drink tea, pander to cats, and read books about serial killers or people with obscure genetic disorders. My favorite authors include Kurt Vonnegut and Oliver Sacks; my favorite characters include Dr. Lecter, Dr. Watson, and Dr. Frederick Frankenstein. I have a pickpocket cat and an insecure dog. I like my coffee black and my wine cheap, and I’m sorry—I don’t think the French language is especially pretty.

In 2013, I graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Michigan University with a double major in creative writing and psychology. Two years later, I earned my Master’s in English at Ball State University.
