I am currently a teaching graduate assistant at Ball State University as I work toward my Master’s degree in Creative Writing. In 2013, I completed my undergraduate studies with Bachelor’s degrees in Creative Writing and Psychology, and much of my teaching philosophy is informed by behavioral psychology, learning theories, and composition as a means of cognition. As a writer, I am particularly interested in grounded long-form fiction; as an instructor, I prioritize application. In both writing and teaching, I strive to always have an answer to the question “Why does this matter?”
